Our Projects
Our care initiatives are driven by two primary goals: to provide immediate support to those in need and to offer young people opportunities for a brighter future.

Free medical care for the poor

Medical Aid
Our health post in Lipah, located on the hill, offers free medical care and advice to those without financial means or insurance. Every week, doctors and nurses from our partner foundation, Bali Sehat, visit to treat emergencies, manage acute and chronic illnesses, and dispense free medication.
For many of our patients this is the only possibility to gain access to professional, medical care since they cannot afford to go to the local doctor and they don't have any means of transport to the next clinic.

We also organize special medical care events, such as Eye Days, where hundreds of patients receive eye examinations and treatments, including cataract surgeries, in collaboration with the John Fawcett Foundation.
Education
We provide English lessons to students in grades 4 to 6 across four primary schools in Desa Bunutan. These lessons significantly increase the chances for these children to pursue higher education and secure well-paying jobs in Bali's tourism industry, helping them move beyond the minimum wage zone. This initiative is our most sustainable and impactful project, offering a practical pathway out of poverty for as many children as possible.

Our English classes are conducted twice a week for each grade, with each session lasting 70 minutes. Our experienced teacher, Miss Rose, employs modern teaching materials designed specifically for Balinese children aged 9 to 12, ensuring the lessons are engaging and effective.

For exceptionally talented students, we offer scholarships that allow them to attend private, international schools in South Bali. Currently, we have two scholarship recipients: Ni Kadek Ariel, a 14-year-old girl from Lipah, and Ni Putu Dewi Lestari, a 13-year-old girl from North Bali. Ariel’s scholarship, generously funded by a single donor, supports her education through to her high school graduation. Putu’s scholarship is partially funded by our foundation, with additional support from our partner, Förderverein Bali Holiway. These scholarships provide the girls with an international standard education, equipping them to apply to universities worldwide.
Food Aid
We provide regular food supplies to nine families in Lipah, delivering boxes containing basic staples such as rice, oil, garlic, onions, chili, and vegetables. These families live in extremely dire conditions and are unable to support themselves due to physical or mental disabilities within the household.

Balinese tradition dictates that the youngest son is responsible for caring for his parents. However, in cases where there is no son, or when he lacks the means to support even his own family, the elderly are often left to fend for themselves. We currently provide regular sembako deliveries to 33 extremely poor and sometimes frail individuals living in the hills of Lipah.
Hardship Aid
We are committed to improving the daily lives of the most vulnerable by providing essential items such as mattresses, beds, and water containers, as well as constructing toilets for impoverished elderly individuals and families. Many of these people live in rudimentary bamboo huts, lacking even the most basic amenities.

In addition to daily assistance, we respond to emergencies like fires, earthquakes, floods, and strong winds that destroy homes. We offer practical support by supplying the necessary materials for repairs. Whenever possible, the actual repair work is conducted by the affected individuals themselves, with the help of their community through a traditional system of mutual aid known as gotong royong.
